SQUARE green
Square green belongs to my Squares series, a body of work that marked a decisive shift in my artistic practice.
Leaving figurative painting behind, I moved into a space where colour itself became presence — unfolding directly as energy, atmosphere and spatial experience.
The square became a grounding structure within this exploration: quiet, stable and open. Within its geometry, colour can expand slowly through layering, subtle tonal shifts and chromatic depth.
For me, these works are not only paintings, but spaces of perception — fields of colour that extend beyond the surface and begin to influence the atmosphere around them.
A smaller commissioned variation of Square green was realised in 2024 for Mori Building Co., Ltd. in Tokyo through SCDA Interior Design, while my large-scale version remains part of the available atelier collection.
